Centris Industrial Announces Northeast Expansion with Appointment of Scott Henderson

June 9, 2022

Centris Industrial, Inc. (“Centris”), an externally managed private real estate investment trust (REIT), together with CA Industrial (“CA”), today announced its northeast expansion with the appointment of Scott Henderson as senior vice president and northeast market officer. Based in Philadelphia, the 20-year industry veteran will be responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of the company’s market strategy creation and deal pipeline generation across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

“Scott’s appointment and Centris and CA Industrial’s corresponding entrance into the northeast comes at an exciting point in our lifecycle, having recently announced five deals closed across another high barrier to entry market,” said Michael Podboy, chief executive officer of Centris Industrial and president of CA Industrial. “With strong market fundamentals and continued surging demand, the northeast continues to present compelling investment opportunities for both Centris and CA Industrial.”

Since inception, CA Industrial has closed transactions totaling approximately $1.2 billion of project costs and has more than 10.3 million square feet of industrial space across currently under development in key US markets including Phoenix, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus, Indianapolis and Las Vegas. CA Industrial operates alongside Centris Industrial, an externally managed private REIT created to strategically invest in speculative ground-up industrial and logistics projects across the US.

“I’m excited to draw on my market and industry experience to support the continued success of Centris and CA Industrial across the northeast – the largest industrial market in the country,” said Scott Henderson. “It’s an honor to join this dynamic team to help drive the sustainable, long-term growth of each platform.”

Prior to joining Centris, Henderson served as vice president of leasing and development for Duke Realty Corporation, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey industrial portfolio with the goal of growing it through new development and investment opportunities in the market, and more broadly, the Northeast. Prior to Duke Realty, Henderson spent four years as senior vice president with Nappen & Associates, a prominent, privately held Philadelphia-based industrial real estate development firm. He has also held several senior-level positions with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, and Grubb & Ellis.

Henderson is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications and has his SIOR designation. He is a member of NAIOP, Tri-State Realtors Alliance and SIOR of which he was past treasurer.
